Store: Soaps

Our soaps are cold processed made with a base of olive oil or goats milk. And the fat we use is coconut oil not animal fat! We also try to use as many organic products as possible. Our bars are hand cut so the size is never exact, but the average size is 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/2". Our soaps are made especially for sensitive skin in mind. They are for the entire body and face; Kathy even shampoos her hair with these soaps. Tara's kids had extremely sensitive skin and could not tolerate store bought soaps and that is how all this fun began.

**Due to the ever increasing scarcity of native mature sandalwood trees, Greendeva will no longer be making Sandalwood soap. The trees are being over harvested and illegally harvested almost to the point of extinction.

The goats milk bars have a nice silky lather and the olive oil bars have a big lather and are nice and bubbly. The coconut oil is fabulous for your skin. While coconut oil has great health benefits its also a great substitute for animal fat. The animal fat used in the old fashioned lye based soaps is usually what causes the allergies and reactions to soap. The coconut oil is also great nutrition for your hair. Coconut oil is also known to combat premature aging.

Not only does our soap have the fabulous ingredients of goats milk, olive oil and coconut oil, we also use 100% pure essential oils instead of adulterated oils. Adulterated oils are pure essential oil added to a carrier oil to make the oil go further. Basically adulterated oils are "watered" down products. There are also oils on the market that are chemically made to be used in place of essential oils. We use plant matter, fruit matter and pure spices to create our wonderful products for your skin.

The big question is always, "how long do the bars last?". With cold processed soaps the secret to their longevity is to keep them from sitting in water after showering or bathing. If you use a slotted soap dish, a finger dish or a sea sponge to allow your soaps to dry, one bar will last 2 and a half to 3 weeks with two people showering. The secret is to keep them dry when not using them. We prefer the sea sponge method or the sisal soap bags because you lose little if any of the soap. While the soap is draining and drying, the sponge or bags hold all the drainage. Then you can use the sponge or sisal bag to give yourself a nice scrub! This method allows you to keep as much of the soap as possible.

From time to time we sell out of soaps. Because we do shows, it is hard to predict what might be the "hot" soap at the time. We try to plan ahead as much as possible but sometimes we just figure incorrectly. So we try to post the soaps we are out of on the website as soon as possible. And if we are out of one you might order, we will always try to contact you for a substitute before shipping your order out. But remember you can always send a note to us when you order on the "Contact Us" page when you order.
